David Schroeder, owner and operator of DSS Coin and Bullion, began collecting coins as a child in Gregory, SD. The hobby began during his "lawn-mowing days" when he received payment for his services in silver half-dollars and dollars. His interest was peaked and needless to say, we all have the lovely resident of Gregory, SD to thank for now what is DSS Coin and Bullion. 

David Schroeder started DSS Coin and Buliion in 2001 in Omaha, NE. He saw the expanding coin market beginning with the developement of eBay and the Internet. He understood that these sales techniques would allow coin dealers, like himself, to reach new markets all over the world. He stayed true to his roots, loving the basics of coin collecting; selling well graded "collector coins". 

As the company grew and expanded into the rapidly growing bullion market, his wife, Colleen Schroeder, joined the company in 2004 after graduating from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. If you happen to catch Colleen, consider yourself lucky, as she handles most projects at home while raising their daughter, Clara. Colleen loves collecting paper money, $500 and $1,000 bills are her favorite. If you ask David what he loves, he will first say his children and then it's copper, of course.
